Non-Tradish

This was only intended to be a painting on a non-traditional painting surface. I chose to portray Illustrated cityscapes with graphic information. I think, this still falls into a design aesthetic of illustration.

Logo painting

This assignment was merely to use drawing material and paper. I chose to create hand generated logo forms whose meanings were attached to the words they depicted.

Fly-hairs

These are limited edition flyers that I made for a painting show. The difference between these flyers and everything else ever created, is that these flyers are hand torn/ layered and cut. Also, there is an intentionality in the paper choice, which separates them from printouts. This wasn't an assignment for Mixed Media, but it was a requirement for the class (to assist in the show) and this was my contribution. Only 20 prints of 4 designs were made, so they have an "edition" or "collectibility (hopefully.)

So these are small works that roughly reflect the theme of savage/ sophistication. I'm thinking of using the one near the bottom (the Grapes of Wrath) one for a book cover. It'd be a golden "torn" book board with gold and a vellum transparent dustcover that has the line-work and text on it.
